[Dance Spree] Daniel Pearl Memorial Concert Oct. 22nd -Springfield, MA

Hi All:

I know that not all of my posts to this list have fit under the category of
announcement, however some of the recent posts have me thinking about what
constitutes an announcement. I would define an announcement as something
that gives the details of an event without a lot of opinion or commentary.
An announcement says an event is happening at a specific day, time and
location. Or that a specific resource is available (or needed). If it
offers any commentary, it is just enough to give the reader the information
necessary to decide if they wish to pursue it further. 

I would love to see a seperate list for discussion. There are so many
people on this list with information to share. Whether I agree or disagree
with the content of a post, I still think there is value in the flow of
information and the discussion that ensues. Having a list specifically for
discussion, and also the posting of announcements that include discussion
would be a good community resource.
