We read every message that comes in and respond when a reply is warranted. The best way to reach us is by email.
What to Write to Us About
We welcome all of the following:
- Content suggestions. If there is a dance style, topic, or question you think we should cover, tell us. We keep a running list of reader-requested topics and it directly shapes what we publish next.
- Factual corrections. Dance history is complicated and sometimes contested. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please write and tell us specifically what the error is and what the correct information is, including a source if you have one. We take accuracy seriously and will update articles when corrections are warranted.
- General enquiries. If you have a question about social dancing that is not answered anywhere on the site, feel free to ask. We cannot promise a personal reply to every question, but we do read everything.
- Experience reports. If you tried something based on our guides — went to your first contra dance, attended a swing social, looked into lindy hop lessons — we genuinely enjoy hearing how it went.
What We Cannot Help With
We are a knowledge and editorial site. We are not a dance school and cannot teach you remotely. We cannot recommend specific instructors, studios, or events in your city, though we are happy to suggest search strategies for finding your local scene. We do not sell anything and are not a booking or ticketing service.
Response Time
We aim to reply to messages within a few business days. During busy periods it may take longer. If your message concerns a significant factual error in a published article, please put "correction" in the subject line so it is prioritized.
